About Adam

Born in the UK, Adam Hunter, literally laid the foundations of his career brick by brick.

After quiting school and working as a brick carrier for a couple of years, Adam moved up to Tea boy at a recording studio where just a few short years later and a lot of playing with samples (including Akai S1000), mixing desks (including Solid State Logic SL 4000 G Series), effects boxes, (including favourite: Bel BD80), reel-to-reels (Studer 2” 24 track) and computers (Atari 1040 ST and Mac Quadra) Adam was the Head of Engineering at Trinity Recording Studios, London, England. Adam worked with many great artists, including recording and mixing Original Nuttah.

Having discovered a passion for all things digital, Adam went back to University to for a degree in Software Engineering. But winning academic award after award wasn’t enough of a challenge, so, after completing his Honours degree at the University of Westminster Adam decided to start over and move to Canada. He lead the Web Development Teams at Standard Radio and Astral Media Radio. In 2009 he joined Rogers Digital Media as lead architect. He went on to lead the Mobile Development Team which launched many milestone products, including the first 1MM+ downloaded iPad streaming app in Canada (CityTv).

Adam is currently CTO at SplitElement, Inc.

Adam is a pushing-the-edge, constantly seeking a challenge kind of person who acknowledges that playing Ultimate Frisbee and biking to work for a (Canadian) year “for fun” is nothing in comparison to being the father of two wonderful girls.
